If you’re NOT feeling GREAT a “hidden fatigue” could be stealing your
energy away – like it did to me.
When
was the last time you thought about or were tested for Adrenal Fatigue
or Allergies or Borderline Anemia or Candida or Dehydration or Eye
Strain or …
Most
fatigues don’t show up on our annual physical results. And, we’re too
busy to notice our feelings and our bodies to bring this up with our
doctors. So we say we're "O.k." or "Fine" or "Getting Along" and blame
it on the holidays "everyone is tired", or I stayed up too late
or got up too early ... It's the worry about the wedding, the move, the
new job ... I've been study hard, the newborn, his parents, my boss, PMS
… and, my personal favorite … being tired is a natural part of getting
older …
What
are your favorite excuses for not feeling GREAT?
Me -
I was tired for years. I used all
the above plus some! I never thought I was tired I just thought that's
how it was - how I felt. Make sense? Finally it got bad. You can
read my story, click here. Anyway -- I
hit bottom and had to stop & figure out what was going on.
Spent the past year and half uncovering and recovering. My mission – now
that I am BACK – is to help other women skip the bottom and get to their
“bottom line” & re-energize - fast.
Here’s
a start – The A, B, C “Hidden Fatigue” Suspects …
A
- Adrenal Fatigue – Affects up to 80% of the population! If you
are most tired between 3pm – 5pm you could be suffering from AF.
Recommendations: Get to sleep by 10:00 p.m. and sleep in whenever
possible. Avoid the afternoon slump by taking 1000 mg of Vitamin C +
1000 mg of Calcium Magnesium with a snack at 2:00 p.m.

A - Alcohol: It is estimated that 10% of our population are
alcoholics.
One definition
of an alcoholic is someone whose drinking makes some or many parts
of their life unmanageable - it could be their personal
relationships or the job or their health or their finances or their
connection to spirit or ...
It is furthermore estimated that each alcoholic affects the lives of
at least ten other people. The spouse, children, relatives, friends,
they all suffer from the affect of alcoholism.
The stress
of being an alcoholic or being affected by an alcoholic is
exhausting physically, emotionally, financially
and spiritually. The 12 Steps of
AA or Ala-non could save your life (as it did mine.) You are not
alone.
A - Anxiety - "The on-switch
for every negative picture that you've ever had about yourself."
-Dr. Harriett Lerner
Physical symptoms: Fatigue, sweating,
headaches, irritability, need to frequently urinate, insomnia,
feeling easily startled and overwhelmed, difficulty breathing and
intensification of PMS and menopause symptoms.
Recommendations: Learn how to interrupt your thinking; handle
your fear in bite size pieces; talk it out with a friend who can
listen without "fixing" you. For an
easy-does-it technique to handle your anxiety, click here.
B
- Borderline Anemia –If you are most tired between 11 am – 2 pm,
you could have borderline anemia.
Recommendations: Eat LOTS of dark green veggies – daily. Ask
your doctor for the Serum Ferritin Test (do not self-medicate with iron
pills. Get your docs go ahead.) Cook in a cast iron pan. Learn how
to combine foods properly to maximize
your iron absorption.
C
- Candida – If you feel tired and limp all the time and foggy
minded + craving sugar and “comfort” foods + extremely constipated +
losing too much hair in your comb and have a history for anti-biotic
usage …
Recommendations: Eliminate everything “white” from your diet
including sugar. Ask your doctor for a referral to a dietician who
specializes in Candida recovery. This takes time to clear up. Be patient
and get going ...
D
- Dehydration -
Our brain is 83% water. Dehydration causes emotional issues such as
depression, dementia, anxiety, confusion, delirium and aggravation.
Physical problems include fatigue, constipation and headaches. If your
urine is dark yellow then drink up!!!
Recommendations:
Drink Up to 8 glasses of water a day unless you exercise or live in an unhealthy
environment (smog, wildfires) - then drink
more! Cut back on caffeine - not out - back. Excess caffeine is
dehydrating.
E - Eye Strain -
Spending all day staring at a monitor, watching the road while driving,
needlepoint, T.V. ... Something so everyday can be so fatiguing.

do anywhere, anytime to feel better.
Look Left * Look Right * Look Up * Look Down * Look Wide & Shut
& SQUEEZE Tight!
G -
Grief:
keen mental suffering
or distress over affliction or loss; sharp sorrow; painful regret.

Dictionary.com Unabridged (v 1.0.1)
H -
Hypersensitivity:
A trait that makes about
20% of the population more aware and affected by all kinds of subtle messages
from the outside and inside. "It's not that our eyes or ears are
sharper. It's that we process more deeply the information we receive."
Provided by Dr. Elaine N. Aron
I - Insomnia:
Fatigue and insomnia ...
Recommendations: I have lots and lots on this, unfortunately,
fortunately? Click on the above link.
N - Nutritional
Deficiencies: Usually starts with skipping breakfast in
lieu of something sweet with something caffinated. Then there is the
gobbled down lunch, sugar or carbo snacks and a healthy dinner,
maybe.
Recommendations: Keep track of exactly what you eat and
drink, and when, for the next three days. Click here for a quick
overview of what to eat and how much (PDF
file).
P - People Pleasing:
A condition that affects a huge
portion of the population. It causes severe anxiety and depression, cripples
self-esteem, undermines and destroys
relationships. Chronic niceness a.k.a.
"people
pleasing" manifests as the
inability to
simply say NO.

P -
Perfectionism: Did you know that perfectionism is a form of
self-abuse? And, it is on this list because it is a major source of
stress and fatigue.
Recommendations: Ask for help. You are a human being, not
a human doing. Uncover what is driving your perfectionism. Read this
page about anxiety for ideas and follow
the activity suggestions.
