Viveca Stone-Berry has written an informative self-help guide to aid women in understanding the causes and symptoms of their fatigue. She puts forward 8 easy-to-follow steps that can help women regain "lost" energy in just three weeks. After four years of experiencing fatigue herself, Viveca researched ways to improve her health and vitality and shares her findings in this e-guide. The tone of the guide is upbeat and fun... evidence that the author "practices what she preaches."

Just finished your "Fatigue Be Gone! Jumpstart e-Guide." It is a very easy read and easy to understand. These are tops in my book given so much is written in medical lingo and it is hard to decipher what in the world they mean. Your guide is full of worthy and much needed information that makes a difference in the daily life of someone suffering from fatigue. Thank you for the great work you have put into this resource, so that all of us who are fatigued can benefit from it. I wish you much success on this road
to help others.

Take it from a recovering toxic
relationship addict and Adrenal Failure survivor … If you're in a toxic relationship, your body is working in overdrive to produce the endorphins you need to combat the stress chemicals your body is producing.  All of the extra work puts a huge strain on your adrenal
glands and can put you over the edge and straight into Adrenal Fatigue Syndrome or worse Adrenal Failure.  This guide is a must read – DON”T WAIT.

Informative, bottom line information, full of interaction that enables you to evaluate yourself and to improve your overall well being to operate to your fullest potential. As a professional organizer I have found that fatigue is one of the top causes that contributes to disorganization and clutter due to lack of energy or the motivation to even get started.

                                                     Viveca's Story

My "Wake Up Call" was ... I couldn't wake up in the morning AND I couldn't wait to go back to
bed. And, I was just a couple months away from my wedding ...

I didn't really look sick. Do I look sick to you? I didn't feel badly either but I just felt tired all the
time
- couldn't remember when I had felt really alive, really "energetic."

During that time I had so many good excuses for feeling tired ... it was the holidays -
it had been a busy week - anxiety over wedding plans - career stress - feeling tired because
of the move - tired from driving across country - the time change - feeling depressed -
needed more exercise - had exercised too hard -  because I'd stayed up too late - because
I'd gotten up too early - because I hadn't slept enough - because I was unmotivated,
lazy, uninspired and, my favorite ...

because that's what happened when people got old - Is 44 old?

My Life on Fatigue -
August '05 - A Typical Day
-

I’d crawl out of bed in the morning to see my fiancé off and then go back to bed and sleep deeply until late morning.

I only got up then because I felt guilty. I “should” be doing something.

Then I would have lunch, drink a couple cups of coffee while my head cleared.  I’d work for a couple hours then it was time for a nap. Or, I’d end up listlessly on the couch in front of the T.V. under the guise of  “taking a break.”

By late afternoon I would start to perk up just in time to pick up the house a bit, walk the dog and start on dinner. By the time Michael came home I was looking busy – bustling about like any happy, productive partner.

On and off during my typical day I'd be thinking about things I should be doing for our wedding - like getting a dress to wear - like registering at a store - like making the guest list. One of the things I'd think about is how I'd get so much done just as soon as ... That's the thing about fatigue - it turns everything grey. It sucks the joy - the air - the precious present out of everything.

I felt like I was living a lie – I was ashamed and miserable. I didn’t tell him what was going on because I didn’t understand it myself.
I kept thinking it was a phase and it would pass
.”

The Isolation
 - Life "On Hold"

Had less and less energy to keep up with my business. I had launched a successful radio show called "The Get Ready for Love! Show" but as I lost my get up and go it went "on hold." Business opportunities, inspirations and colleagues faded away because of
my lack of participation. I wasn’t “showing up” at events on or off line.

I was disappointed in myself. I kept missing out on opportunities I’d worked so hard to create. Why?

Bless my friends who would keep calling!  I’d only respond to calls that sounded like “Viveca, this is Lesley. I called you last week – call me I’m getting worried.”

Over time (hidden fatigues creeps up on you over time) I dropped out of the activities I enjoyed. I stopped going to Salsa Class -
hardly went to dog beach or dog park. Stopped organizing get togethers and outings with friends.

The Shame & The Fear - Am I the problem?

I assumed there was something wrong with me morally, not physically. Women - we're so hard on ourselves.

Physically I looked fine – healthy, strong – therefore it had to mean that I was lazy, unmotivated, unreliable, incompetent,
unfocused, disorganized, not good enough and maybe the worst of all …

I was old. This is how it felt when you were past the prime of your life ...

The Turning Point What went wrong and then went right

First, I moved to a new state and left my regular MD behind. SHE was the one who’d told me that nothing was wrong I just needed to
tough it out.” She'd also delivered a baffling "know it all" lecture on hormone therapy that left me feeling baffled, angry and lost. I left that appointment in tears thinking how I felt was just "the way it was."

Next, my trusted "healer" died. I had counted on her for herbs, wise counsel and energy work that had always made me feel better.
I was devastated.

Then it started to go right ...  I listened into The Health & Beauty Revolution Show show and heard a doctor talking about solutions for insomnia, adrenal fatigue (I had never heard that term before) - about thyroid & liver function and ... I was riveted.

Next , my girlfriend Marci told me about a couple magazines I had to get. One was called Women's World. She said it always had great information on health and fatigue. It had never occurred to me that other women felt like me! I thought I was so unique!
The other pub was First for women on the go and she read a headline to me that went like this

The #1 female TIREDNESS TRIGGER - 80 % of American women will suffer from adrenal fatigue

There was that adrenal fatigue word again. Was it a coincidence? I had to find out more.

Long story, short.  I ran out and bought both those magazines and started researching on the internet. I started a chat topic in the
Wild Business Women’s Tribe, an on-line women’s community, and the suggestions, shares, solutions starting coming in –
I was on my way! There was no holding me back!

Kept reading, researching, chatting and changing health habits, lifestyle habits, and spiritual habits – integrating one thing at a time …
Starting seeing a different doctor and took a symptoms checklist and books and questions ... Stopped being a passive "wallflower" and stopped accepting the standard female "problems" were dragging me down. My interest and collaborative approached sparked their interest in helping me and exploring options. Doctors may wear the white coat but they are not "know it alls!"  (We know it all but need to learn how to trust ourselves and communicate!)

Progress not perfection. I am alive again! I have days when I felt GREAT & good & "fine" & blah;
different levels of energy vs. one, grey, level!  Made a lot of little changes and integrated new habits from
going to bed earlier to cutting out sugar, eating little healthy snacks, taking a Vitamin C boost in the afternoon ...

This journey is like a staircase - each step leads to the next and there is always something new to learn and apply vs.
"I'm fixed!" In fact I thought I was and then came ...

Another Turning Point -   Health is a journey, not a destination

This August, as I was "wrapping up" my recovery and it's inspiration,
The Fatigue Be Gone! Jumpstart e-Guide, I caught myself dragging through the final edit.
I thought, "writing about fatigue is making me tired!" Like before I thought my attitude was to blame.

Then I noticed all the hair in my comb (10-20 hairs each time - way too many.)
And, I acknowledged that I'd just had two bladder infections in a row and that my eyes felt so dry and constipation and ...

Now what?!!!  Back into research mode - not adrenal fatigue, I'm not anemic anymore - what is it?

Back on the internet - back to the library - someone recommended a book called "The Yeast Connection Handbook."
I started reading all about my childhood. From 0-5 I had lots of antibiotics, ear infections & bouts with bronchitis. Also read
about my twenties spent on & off antibiotics because of more bouts with bronchitis & pneumonia. I made an appointment
with my Doctor - discussed these findings - got her opinion and then got busy.

These days I am eating better than ever - the gift of the Candida. I rest better - stress less - the gift of
Adrenal Fatigue. I feel more energetic all the time. Then there's the self-confidence that comes from learning how to take good
care of myself. You and I aren't stagnant beings our best health requires attention and "tweaks."  This is fun and interesting once you start feeling better just like fine tuning any hobby or passion.

I no longer suffer from fatigue - suffering was when I didn't know what was going on or what to do.
Suffering was that isolation, shame and "what's wrong with me" fear I used to feel

Last night I fell into the Adrenal Fatigue "second wind" and stayed up till 1:00 a.m. watching that T.V. Show
"Law & Order." Got up late, tired & annoyed at myself. Today I'll eat all the right foods. Plop me in Paris I will go straight
- do not pas go! - to that pastry shop.  I am human and all of this is part of that experience.

So - to recap! It’s been just 12 months since I first heard of Adrenal Fatigue ...  Along the way I also uncovered Borderline Anemia,
Allergies
and then, dehydration and Candida. Do they play off of each other? I don't know but the changes in nutrition, lifestyle, spirit and attitude affect all of them. I continue to grow, learn more and heal one day at a time.

These days I am passionate about helping others re-cover and re-energize. I can't help it. It is so exciting to feel GREAT!
And, helping other helps me stay on track. Click here if you are interested in learning about my "Jumpstart Guide."  It is an inspired "shortcut" for recovery -  8 easy steps to uncover and recover from these "hidden fatigues."

Thank you for visiting and good luck to you. Whatever your problem please know that discomfort is your friend.  Fatigue is our body's way of telling us that something is wrong while there is still time to heal. Please - don't wait until you "have the time" to take care of yourself.

Do you want me to scare you will all the horrible health problems that come out of denial & procrastination?  Adrenal failure, onset adult diabetes, Fibromyalgia, Lupus, chronic fatigue, respiratory infections, allergies, cancers, heart attacks  ... and the list goes on and becomes more and more expensive and uncomfortable ...

If you don't feel GREAT - today is the right time to begin re-energizing your life.

Energetically Yours!

Viveca

P.S. About my wedding ... it did happen! What a blast! Nothing but blue skies and we enjoyed every minute. At that time I was only a couple months into recovery but small, everyday changes had quickly made a big difference in how I felt.

The body is an amazing gift that keeps on giving ...
